I've never seen a Krueger rocket kit before.

That's a pretty cool design concept and I wonder how well it worked?

I didn't see a catalog in any of the usual places online .... is there a catalog of Krueger products posted anywhere?

.

Not that I know of, but I did buy a couple of Krueger kits and some parts from our own Rocket Dr. a few years ago. I also bought one of the catalogues Mr krueger has on ebay earlier today. < http://www.ebay.com/itm/KRUEGER-ROC...=item4603cc6705 >.

He also has reproductions of the first catalog available for $15.99. It says he'll sign and date them for an additional $5, making them even more collectible.

Seems to me if you're hocking copies of an original for $16, you could throw in the autograph.

He offered to sign mine ( #201 from the 70's ) for the same price, which I politely declined.

Very interesting. Very interesting.

Spring recovery ... I hope he patented the invention!

On another note, many of us have flown those old rubber band launched rockets that would open up and release a parachute once the air friction would lesson near apogee and a flap would release.

there there was a similar design where magnets were used to act as a release mechanism ... let me see if I can find that patent...

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/3822502.html

The magnet is drawn forward, Faraday's law, and that activates the parachute release.

I am looking for a picture for the commercial packaging, please hold... can't find a pic of the commercial product, only the patent drawings

Jonathan
