WOOSH list
One of the items on the January agenda will be the wooshlist email service, since we now have the forum up and running and both facebook pages do we really need to keep the wooshlist running?

Personally, I prefer the forum, but I know I'm out numbered. I have FB, but I rarely use it.
The argument for the email list was/ probably still is/ that it is delivered, and that is more convenient for some members. For me, I don't get email on my phone - I always use my computer. It's just one or two clicks more to logon to the forum (than to open email). So the forum is not a problem for me. One thing the forum has going for it - more organized threads. The emails can get really disjointed with off topic replies. That's why I prefer the forum, just my 2 cents. |

I prefer the forum as it allows Email notifications to new threads etc.. it can be set up in the user CP. I hear you with the organization of threads, I see many Emails where someone coat-tails onto an existing thread with a way-off topic message, It can still happen on the forum but is lees than likely. |

I would like the fb group to go away. As well as the email list.
The forum here does have a option to subscibe to each group or each thread. If you sub to the group, you will get daily emails with the summary of new posts under the topics. You just need to click on the forum you want emails for and go to the tools and choose subscribe.

By default, any thread you create or reply to you are automatically subscribed to that thread so you get emailed whenever anyone else replies to it. Should you want to subscribe to a complete forum so you get an email whenever anyone creates a new thread or replies to one you'd do this: Go to whichever forum you want to "Subscribe" to. For instance, say you want to subscribe to this forum to get emailed whenever someone writes in it. Go to the Woosh Biz forum. At the top of that forum you will see a dropdown menu item called Forum Tools. Click on that and choose Subscribe to This Forum. You're all set! You could also choose to subscribe to individual threads vs the whole forum as well. Remember, if you create a thread or reply to an existing one you're automatically subscribed to it.
