I knew it had to be more than the garlic that made them so good.

Grew up in the Atlanta area, there's a place called the Varsity, pretty good chili slaw dogs, onion rings...gooood. I think their secret ingredient 'old grease in the deep fryers'. No kraut on the menu.

Went to the Air Force Museum, didya?

It is not public yet, but we are planning to inaugurate a new and huge field outside of Corsicana in October or November. Hope you can come up and show off that big Red Max.

What JohnNGA said about the Varsity....would not want a steady diet of it...though My dad went there pretty often.....but they are pretty neato..... and I remember the old slogan when I was in My teens "No Food Over 12 Hours Old"....

Bill, yes we went went to the museum - most impressive!
Unfortunately the Presidential/Experimental (?) wing was closed. Would have
liked to see the XB-70...

We plan to come to DARS launches

I have not been expecting to see you to come all the way to the fields up on the north side, but that new one should be almost local to you.

No kraut on the menu AT ALL sounds just like ALL hot-dog/coney joints should be.
Slaw on a dog is fine.
Kraut is akin to slathering it with runny canine fecal matter topped with smelly foot juice.
NONE of those 3 EVER gets anywhere near my mouth.

Well,

I had to dig up this thread once again. The 10 Lb. box of Koegel's Viennas and the dozen bags of Grandma Utz Handcooked Chips arrived the other day. Two neighbors have
been fixed up...

Many thanks to Jeff and GH for the heads up!
