Now the flare tube is filletted and assembly of the model is finished--accept for the pitot tube and antennae. Because of their delicate nature I'll leave those off until I'm ready to paint the model.

Time for some hooch. Good night.

I haven’t given up on the Jayhawk, it’s just on temporary hold until I get home from the Cleveland office.

Default Jayhawk update:

I got home from Cleveland for the weekend and was able to put a little time into the Jayhawk.

I've applied a coat of Aerogloss balsa filler coat, sanded it, and a coat of Aerogloss sanding sealer and sanded it. (3) more coats of sanding sealer to go---which will have to wait until I get home from Delaware.

Good grief, what could possibly drag you to that pit known as Cleveland ?
Even Ford was smart enough to stop building V8s there.

It's where the home office is. I go there only when necessary, but I've been to FAR worse places than Cleveland.

Yes, I agree...I once spent a whole week one day in Toledo.

Yes. It seems I've spent a lifetime in Tallahassee. A long one.

Me too! I spent a week one day in Midland/Odessa once. That part of the world is sOoO flat . . . .

Oh, almost forgot, enjoying the build - nice and neat.

It looks like I’ve finished early in Delaware. I may even get the Jayhawk primered tomorrow after I get home.

FWIW, the following is a list of places I’ve worked at that are FAR worse than Cleveland (in order of undesirability):

1) Tirichupalli, Tamil Nadu, India
2) San Pedro, Honduras
3) Nanjing, China
4) Suao, Taiwan
5) Mexico City, D.F. (in August)
6) Querataro, Mexico (in August)
7) maximum security state prison, Walla Walla, WA.
8) Compton, CA
9) Richmond, CA
10) Pascagoula, MS (2 weeks after Katrina)
11) Houston, TX
12) Centerline, MI
13) Berkley, MO

The dump known as Centerline Mi is wholly surrounded by the equally dumpy Warren Mi.
The only good things about Warren is the GM Technical Center and US Army TACOM. Without those two centers of big $$$, the area would implode.
That said, both are WAYYYYYY better than cleveland.
