Squirrel Works' Ajax
I got the engine mount glued in, and measured for fin masking. Primer will follow as soon as I can step outside in 25+ degree weather. The fins need to be rounded and CWF'd.
Can you see how nice the BT-55 is? It's soooo tight! Nicest tube I've ever seen! Last edited by Overeasy123 : 12-15-2016 at 05:01 PM. |

Pre-Filleting.
The balsa was a bit spongy, and I nicked the curvilinear fore of one of the ventral winglets. Can I just pretend that it was nicked by an asteroid? I don't want to fill it in, even though it's such a nice detail. Hopefully a chunky fillet will help cover it a tad.
These kits are so nice, I'd really like to have another crack at building both the Ajax and the JX-1. Alackaday, I've only a Space Ranger in stock. |
