I finished up the Semroc Mini Centurion.

The upper/black section is a payload compartment (Per the instructions).

The construction of the Centuri Centurion is moving along.

I plan to get some primer on it this week.

Looks like it took some effort to use those vintage tubes. But, any flaws that show through will only add character. Think daily driver.

With enough Elmer's FNF, primer and sanding one can cover up a lot.

The tubes had issues but they were useable. The inside of the tubes had no damage.

The original Centuri adhesive shock cord anchor no longer had any adhesive.
I replaced that with an Estes tri-fold shock cord anchor.
The shock cord itself was dried out and broke once it experienced any tension.

The kit decal had yellowed so I taped it to a sun facing window and let the sunlight
clear up the discoloring. It looks pretty good now.

Thanks, Bob.

I might bring the entire Centurion menagerie to NARAM-60 and fly it.

That's a great idea for yellowed decals.
The Centurions look great!

I finished the Centuri Centurion this evening.

I used all the original parts except for the shock cord and shock cord anchor (The adhesive had dried out).

Interestingly, the shroud line tape discs were still plenty sticky so I used them with the parachute. The 16" Centuri parachute had eight shroud lines while an Estes parachute has only six shroud lines.

I did use the included spec plate on the back side of the model.

One more Centurion to go.

I’d forgotten about those spec plates. Cool looking and useful too. Thanks for posting that little detail.
