WipeOut Game Inspired Pod Racer
Hi fellow rocketeers!
Got this little jewel from model builder and designer extraordinaire Scott Branche a few years ago. Recently got re-acquainted with it and decided to finish it. I got the vibes from one of my favorite old computer racing games, WipeOut, from where the decal inspiration came from. So, painted it with white enamel can paint (cheap Harris can Paint), let that cure for about a week, then polished the paint with car water based polish. In the mean time got to work on the decals using my trusty "to go" graphics program, PowerPoint, and designed the decals using many of the features, including the 3D options. They turned out better than expected. The name is a tribute to one of my favorite Star Trek shows: Enterprise. The barcode on the sides were actually created using an online barcode generator, and they read "NX-109", you know, for scanning the laps at over "450 mph"... Also got some inspiration from the X-Wing laser cannons... check it out. This Race Pod is small, about 10 inches long, BT-20 body tube, NC from Estes' BT-20 nose cone set, and it should fly on a Mini Motor... I will get its inaugural flight this spring, then to be a Queen Shelf Model. Comments and recommendations are welcome.

The decal "wrap" is actually for big decals as making it one decals was hard to manage. Then are not perfect but I am very happy with the outcome.
