Got that in the mail yesterday too.

I got mine yesterday also. I have looked through the bag
at the kits, I was sent and it looks like the parts he sent were already in the bags.
I guess I have some extra parts.

Bill S. (BMS) originally said that $50 was a pre-order price for those willing to pay immediately but wait a while until the kits were ready to ship. And I think Jul 1 was the original estimated time the kits would be ready. I got mine early last week so I guess he is running ahead of schedule. The implication was that once the kits were ready and in stock the price would be higher.

Still, $59 is a good price for the kit. Looks like it will be a fair amount of work to build, but the parts quality and instructions are top notch. I am looking forward for building it.

I received the same envelope yesterday. EVERYBODY makes mistakes. How they handle mistakes is a good indicator of the person / company. BMS jumped all over this.

There's several photos in the NAR Facebook page showing the BMS/Alway Saturn - V model completed, built by Tom Beach (editor of the Sport Rocketry magazine). He did a superb job on his build, looks like a museum quality model!

FYI Chris Michielssen just started a build on his blog a few days ago. Will be following along, good way to avoid any "gotchas":

NO more 1/195 BMS Alway Saturn V.
They are all gone. If you got one or two your lucky and won't regret it.

I wonder how many years we will have to see another run?

That's why we got two, Jeffy. One to build and the other to look at.
