Default Doug's Rockets - new home

I am updating and moving my rocketry pages from flash.net to a new home. I've set up a new url: www.doug79.com/DougsRockets Most of the content has been moved, and much of it has been updated. Plus, there's lots of new stuff.

There are several pages still under construction, and several older ones still needing refreshing or relocation, but the site is now deemed functional. Any feedback is welcome.

My flash.net stuff will be coming down in the next 60 days, so update your bookmarks.

Regards,
Doug

Doug,

Some great old stuff on the website. Also, I happen to be old enough to know about Jose Jimenez ... my Dad loved the show. But I had to "wiki" Jose Jimenez to learn all the Mercury astronaut stories.

I remember it well.

Not me. Compared to Doug, I'm just a pup. (He graduated in the 70's. I graduated in the 80's. )

Yeah, I remember Bill Dana and Jose Jimenez, too. He used to be on shows like Ed Sullivan and Jackie Gleason all the time. (And no, I didn't need Google to know that... I just Googled my own memory banks. )

I like your Thridgets and Quidgets, too. If they ever bring back cold power, you could build Fridgets!

(Actually, during the next three months up here, any Midget that is launched could be called a Fridget! )

You get reliable cluster to cluster staging in your Thridgets? I'll have to try that.

I seem to get reliable cluster ignition in everything but my Thridgets. At least the middle one. I've wrecked it twice now after only getting 2 out of 3 lit. I'm starting to call it the Franken-Midget. For the second repair, I decided to let the scars be part of the decoration scheme

Doug,

I didn't see your Fill N Finish graphic on the site.

Is it still up to date?

I honestly have no clue what to look for anymore.

That's why I left it down - I'm not sure what to look for, either

My last tub of FNF - E836DL - is getting low. What I bought to replace it is "Carpenter's Wood Filler - Paintable+Sandable". At the bottom, it says "interior/exterior". Order number is E849DL. But I haven't tried it yet, so I can't endorse it yet. Once I get some use out of it, I can put up a new pic. HTH.

Doug,

I decided to "go Shecter" on this problem and I've sent an email to Elmer's.

I'll let you know what I find out.

I have a tub of that same stuff and I've just used it. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, but it seems to work fairly well. It thins, goes on and sands well....
