Default I'm Done

I'm declaring this project done, complete, finished.
I have started my new project and I flew it today and it too flies just fine too!
I need to add a few finishing touches and it too will be complete!
I added some more nose weight to the A-7 for the 4-3-10 launch.
Awesome on a C6-5.
I need some C6-7's to get the fighter dive effect before chute deployment.

Here is the club site for pic's and video.

Default Ordinance added

Seems my rocket project fell by the wayside somehow. I hate that!

Anyway, I know I said I was done with the project but I needed to add ordinance.
well I did just that this week and here it is.

It is a little heavier now, with the new ordinance, and I hve not flown it yet.
When I do, I will use C6-7 motors in the hope I get the 'fighter dive' effect before the chute deploys.

I hope you all like it.

Check out my other Fighter Jets I posted

Later,
Daniel

Looks good.

Aren't you a little worried about zippering or stripping the chute with late deployment? With the added drag and weight of the ordinance since last flight, you might want to stick with a C6-5 on the next flight and then decide if you want to use a C6-7.

Default Ordinance issue

tb,

Thank you.

I'm not sure about the dredded "Z" effect.
The large 'fuel' tanks are removeable, only the missles are glued on permanently.

Default It Flies!

So I flew this puppy again on Saturday June 5th. All the ordinance was attached.
I used a C6-7 motor. Not only did it fly very well, it arced over into a fighter dive before the chute popped out, really exciting.
Pics and video are on the FLASHROCKETRY site posted on page four(top of page)

Daniel

Default Still flying my A-7 Corsair II Jet Rocket

I'm still flying my A-7 Corsair II Jet Rocket. I've been flying it at the CMASS launches in Amesbury, MA.

I had a friend that would have loved this one. He always said if there isn't an "A" in the designation then all you do is watch.

I would like to ask about the 'had' comment, but in respect I will not.
Do you care to 'clone' this rocket.
I will share my information.

Default CMASS Amesbury Launch, April 30, 2011

CMASS Amesbury Launch, April 30, 2011

Jim Flis took this pic of the A-7 at liftoff at Amesbury April 30th, 2011.
Then he posted it on the photo album header photo. It was an honor to see this shot.

Thank you Jim.
