WOW . . . What a cool pic ! That looks like a Spitfire to me.

Britroc, sorry to turn your thread into a history thread, but I learned something while checking my facts. I completely forgot about the Tempest! I remember the Typhoon, and the Tempest being an extensive upgrade of it, but I didn't know how much it impacted the latter part of the war. I also got off on a tangent reading about the Napier sleeve valve engine.

Thanks for the Noris link Frognbuff but .....

Emailed and ordered the kit 28/05/2019
Waited 2 weeks with no acknowledgment of order
Emailed them asking if order was received
Asked for bank transfer to cover kit + tax £38.53 and bank charge for transfer of £9.50
Asked for £8.00 for shipping + £9.50 bank charge of course

So that's Kit 38.53
Bank 9.50
Postage 8.00
Bank 9.50
-------------
Total so far £ 6 5 :5 3 and haven't heard further from them since early June

Knowing Royal Mail, there'll probably be an £8.00 handling fee, and although I've paid the German sales tax, what's the betting that UK VAT might have to take a bite too !

Almost as bad as buying from the states ( meaning all the extras added by the UK govt and
the Royal Mail carrier)
