Default level 2 project

bought the kit 2 years ago...and finally got it finished. could go for my lv2 as early as Ecof depending on the weather. it is a 'Competitor 3' 83" long, 3" diam., dry weight (with motor adaptor) 3786g, dual deploy. ground tested the ejection charges today.

Good luck with your cert flight. What motor are you planning to use?

That's a killer motor. Lots of fire and white smoke. Post a photo when you get it done!

If I L2 cert I'm going to do it with one of those giant 6" diameter Skeeter kits (Mosquito)
with SINGLE deploy that only hits 1000' on a J350W. Could recover in any normal small field.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

it was indeed a successful flight and landing. managed to miss the trees and the water hazards .
there is no one correct path to certification, an extream mozzie would work, although a 54mm motor might make packing the chute easier .

My L2 was a 4" dia Marauder upscale. CTI J320 and ARTS v1 altimeter for dual deploy. I really enjoy DD flights, but I'm really hooked on the ease and convenience of the JL chute release.
Any thoughts on your L3 yet?
