Default Guam is Unsafe!

Oh, no! It might tip over and capsize!

(about 1:20 into the video, if you can stomach his rambling that long)

That this joker used to be a judge deserves a one word response that totally fits: ******* !!!

I am confident that Guam will not tip over, but I am scared that when sailing to Guam one might get too close to the edge of the Earth and fall off!

As long as you don't go too fast, you will just go over the edge and down the side. They proved years ago that the earth is not flat... more like a cube. Gravity still works because of the inverse cube function.

It's quality information such as this that keeps me coming back to this forum.

Guam has a slight bulge to the topography, a high wind might cause lift!

Back in the day, Guam used to have a SAC base with B-52's (I have no idea if the base is still there or what it on it).

While in the USAF, I heard a story that the runway on Guam had a gradual slope down, then a slope up. The story goes, that B-52's would be laden with water as ballast before flight. They would begin their takeoff roll moving, as it were, down hill. Then, at the bottom of the runway trough, would purge the tanks so the uphill takeoff mass would be lighter.

This story may be apocryphal, but back in the day the USAF would do just about anything to get the alert birds up and away, including JATO and even experimenting with zero-length boosts of fighters.
