I just looked at the DOM version. I'm thinking that the split nose cones was maybe the deciding factor in putting the plans back in the filing cabinet -- save it for another day. Ispeaking of Tridents, I've got an upscale in storage that has 3 nose cones that need to be turned. Definitely a long-term project, I started this 20 years ago. Here's a picture. The parts are just kind of placed approximately for the picture. The three ducting tubes are 34" tubes that need to be lengthened to about 45" as I recall. And I think I have the two nose cones for the uppermost body tube reversed. The main tube is 2.35" diameter, and the overall height will be over 6 feet. It would be nice to complete, even if it is just a display model.

Well....perhaps. But http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-flyi...ship-excalibur/ has lots of the hard work done. The split cones and quite a bit of shaping on the upper cabin are some work, but the model comes out nicely.
This one has seen a few rough moments but still looks nice from a distance, and it flies nicely.
