Default Argus II (Estes Design Of The Month)

I've been meaning to delve into the Design Of The Month archives over at JimZ's for years, but this one will pretty much be my first. This is a really cool, satisfyingly chunky rocket that went together amazingly fast. The toughest part of the build was getting the three piece wings together and then sanding the root edges uniformly flat. I finished it to the point that it's in primer tonight, but I might actually have it painted by Saturday. (All gloss white, but still painted.) I'd post the build pics, but they're still in my camera because the Geek Squad has my computer.
Man, I miss that computer.
Anyway, if the weather holds, this should be one of the rockets I fly on Saturday. I resisted the urge to power it up to 24mm, so it should stay in the park. Maybe I'll have figured out an alternate way of downloading my pics before then.

If you wish to make yours like the original DOM Argus II, you will see that most of the decals are from the Estes Interceptor except for the cockpit.

I also wish to build this and other DOM rockets and drew up these decals on Corel Draw and sent them to Tanga Papa to get made with other sheets.

Good show, Arley. I may give those a try if I can get a printer hooked up to this computer. We got blown out again today, so I have another two weeks to work on my finishing skills.
