Default Naram 60

...Is only five months away!

This NARAM has an excellent flying site and will be the fourth time I have flown at the location.

While the 'official' NAR NARAM 60 webpage is not yet up here is a link to it. It is still a work in progress:

http://www.nar.org/site/naram-60/

The hotel information is posted so I have already gone ahead an made my reservations.

Who else is planning on attending this event?

Bob,

I'm planning to be there, and there are several from the Pacific Northwest who are considering coming out. That will be my third trip to the site.

I need to do the hotel thing.....

I'll be there. I plan on driving from Colorado Springs, so I won't be there each day - but I plan to attend as much as possible!

My wife and I will be there, just for the first few days. We have another trip planned midweek, but it will be fun to attend banquet and the opening weekend. We live about 200 miles away, and flew with SCORE in Pueblo several times last year.

It is a great location, and a really nice group of people in the club.

And I plan to do the maiden flight of my Der Saturn Max. I just posted this picture the other day on two of the FB rocketry groups, including the NAR group.

This is an old Saturn V, missing some parts, dinged, and dusty. But she is undergoing a refit, and could be wearing paint and decals soon. The nose cone is a turned balsa “DRM-style” nose cone, an absolute must in my mind.

I hope some of the local crazy dudes will show up at the sport range like the last time down in Pueblo! The nearly empty weekday sport range is a good time to see some interesting stuff fly. I have heard of a few possible interesting projects, but at least you have the Vern Estes tribute dinner and the always exciting scale competition.

Default I’m Coming

My family is making the drive from Ontario, Canada. We’ll spend the week there after arriving Sunday night (it’s a 2 day drive). We are looking to spend another several days somewhere in CO. Anyone have any suggestions? Last time we just stayed the week in Peublo.

Aspen and Vail are two very nice places to visit in Colorado.
Neither is cheap or even 'reasonably' priced however....

Depends on what you are into. Measa Verde for archeology. Durango Silverton for narrow guage rail. Rocky Mountain National Park. Colorado Springs for Pike's peak and Apogee Rocket Warehouse.

Two hours west - Great Sand Dunes National Park is a good day trip.

What is the host hotel?
The NARAM web page is down and I'd like to make some reservations.
Thanks!
