Goodrocks1 has pieced together another one. I wanted so badly to contact him and ask him why he thinks on open, pieced together kit is worth more than an unopened, perfectly stored, as good as new kit. However, he has me on his ignore list or something because Ebay will not let me contact him. I guess one of my contacts insulting him and his listings in the past made him a bit upset. |

Depends on the motor in question...

what do you mean? Just because a motor is USPS ground shippable does not mean you can ship it, you are required to get a letter of exemption from the postmaster, or be included on a list by the manufacturer as a dealer lumped under their exemption letter. Those are the usps rules. Aerotech does not update their list to the usps ever afaik, when I personally talked to the postmaster, they did not have a list from quest, aerotech or RCS. They seemed to have something from estes but not sure how often they update it. I had to apply personally and get my own letter. For non usps ground shippable motors you are bound by the common carriers rules and hazmat requirements. Typically to mail hazmat through ups or fedex you have to take their multi day several hundred dollar course. There isn't a license.

I do not intend to engage in an argument. All I will say is I am very aware of the rules as written and I am also aware of how the post office actually operates. I am glad you took the initiative to get "legal" with the post office. I am also sorry for my original comment. I had no intentions of starting an argument in this thread.

That BOZO must be really high on some bad crack with those prices.
$349.95 for a Mercury Atlas ? GET REAL. Not worth half that.

Just one of those guys that thinks he can make more money catching the occasional sucker than by charging fair prices. And with a lot less work.

Well, he has a 0 feedback rating so he is new. Perhaps he just does not know what things are worth. He must be learning because the shipping amounts seem to be ok when I opened the link. As for starting prices, I have seen worse. He will learn the market soon enough...

The shipping shown for me here in Canada was $101 USD, that's over $130 CAD. The norm for me has been $15-25 USD for a kit. |

Interesting. When I open the link, I get an auction for a Centuri Sea Killer starting at $99 with $7.45 (USD) shipping. He is Illinois, so that would be fair shipping to here in Florida.
