No offense to a John Boren and Estes, but the STM-012 just struck me as a great kit to modify!

A friend bought a dealer pack of 12 for under a $100, and I offered to buy a few if he wanted. (He had already been buying them when they were on clearance. He had plenty.) He gave me one and told me he was anxious to see what I’d do.

Well, I cut it up, made the cutoff from the lower tube a payload compartment, converted to mini rail buttons, and modded the fins a bit. Other than that, it’s stock.

Undecided on paint, but maybe a Bandit scheme (yellow/white/black).

Dude , there is no way in hell your gonna call that DONE with that rough azz fin finish
I tried to tell her , its only the first gen - to see if it works and all- but she didnt buy it

I slacked some on this one
