Since the frequent customers haven't chimed in and you likely want an answer sooner rather than later, they usually say that Quest isn't keeping the website up to date and to call them if you want to place an order.

What is this Quest ?
Is that the company that comes out with ridiculously priced single oddball sized 20mm motors and vaporware 29mm BP SU motors and 18mm AP SU motors ?

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Exactly. There's been a lot of talk, but nothing to back it up, since they got bought out by AeroTech.

Personally I won't be spending any money with them until I see something to convince me that they're not just a vaporware company anymore.

Thanks Luke,
I hadn't herd that Aero Tech had bought them out. Was just trying to buy a X-15 parts pack, and some tubes. I can use what I have. Thanks everyone for the info.

Quest has some growing pains. Bill Stein retired and moved to Arizona, Gary is semi retired Charlie has taken over as GM. The company that is making the Quest black powder motors and Q2G2 starters had a fire and now they are rebuilding, so those are not coming in yet. Kits and starter sets are available. (see my website for what is available). Quest dose need to get there web site updated before there customer base drifts away.

So unfortunate. Will they ever learn the solution to all future motors is APCP? Nope.

My motor company was so successful that Vern Estes himself came to my launch to beg me to take Firestarters off the market, then railed against them with NFPA unsuccessfully. Yet you never see Hobbico, Estes, AT, etc. come to me to make the next model rocket motor revolution happen.

Right now HPR serves a mere 5000 people. Think about that. More people are collecting string into balls than are doing consumer rockets beyond the model rocket definition. Heck there are actually more folks doing amateur rockets than "consumer" HPR!

I had 20k and growing HPR customers myself alone when TRA decertified my motors (and some other stuff happened). It is not that hard. You just have to trust a product proven safe over 20+ years, and exempt from federal regulation, is suitable for any adult.

That's putting it mildly.

From what I've heard, the new leadership at AeroTech really doesn't have a clue about how to run a *model* rocket company (in contrast to Aerotech's focus on *high* power rocketry) and doesn't seem particularly interested in learning or putting much effort into making Quest successful.

Hard to have confidence in a company whose new ownership seems content to "absorb" said company rather than work to make it successful.
