Your beverage choice looks awesome.
The food is DISGUSTING.
Perfectly good beef destroyed by Corning/Boiling.
Cabbage in any form other than Cole Slaw stinks like ROTTED FEET.
Boiling potatoes is the absolute worst way to consume them.

I couldn't eat that mess even if I washed it down with that entire bottle of Aberlour.

Yum! We have corned beef brisket, cabbage and potatoes - along with whichever porter I pick up, this year it’s Great Lakes Brewing Co Edmund Fitzgerald - while watching “The Quiet Man”. Yeah, I know, neither the food nor the movie are REALLY Irish (as in historically accurate) but it’s all in fun.

We had the first pot of gold Saturday evening as we had to go to my wife's cousins birthday party on St. Patty's day . no way I could pass that up: Ruth's Chris, privet room, eat what ever you want. so today we are having another corned beef plate with all of the trimmings. I remember JH Hate's to eat Onions also, OMG where those satiated Onions so good at Ruth's Chris last night. they gave my Strip Steak so much extra flavor.

I tried an Instant Pot CB&C recipe.

You pressure steam the brisket first, with onions and garlic, then put the potatoes (small reds) and cabbage into the broth.

I think I over-did the cabbage; kind of fell apart. Also, not enough!

But it all tasted great. I need to keep an eye out for corned beef when it is on sale.

Egg rolls/Spring rolls are the exception that proves the rule - cooked Cabbage (and all onions) SUCK.
