Default Plastic Fin Repair/Replacement

I recently found an old Lancer rocket at my parents house and one of the fins broke off. This is the same plastic fin that is on the Scorpion or Mongoose style rockets. What do you guys recommend for repairing that? Its fairly close to the root but I wasn't sure what type of material to use to repair it.

edit : Probably put this in the incorrect thread.

The current (though it might not be exact...) replacement part would be the fin can from the #2 Skywriter (aka Flying Pencil). And, with Hobby Lobby having a 40% off coupon on "any single item" this week, your question arrived at the right time!

Nice, thanks for the info. I was thinking that kit had the same can. Of course the nearest Hobby Lobby is over 1 1/2 away .

Then I suggest you don't go on Sunday. They are the only retailer that I know of that has no Sunday hours chain wide. I drove to the nearest one on a Sunday once, thank goodness it's only about 40 minutes. Still it was a wasted hour and 20 minutes both ways. Three hours would be much worse.

Good tip, that would anger me greatly if I drove all the way down there to discover that.

The Skywriter is only $5.99 at Commonwealth Displays.

If you have to drive an hour and a half to Hobby Lobby you'll spend more on gas than that.

Besides, the Skywriter is now OOP so Hobby Lobby may not have them.

By the way, the Skywriter is a great basic flyer. If you're going to buy one for the fin can buy another to fly. My daughter just built 5 of them for our school demo launch. Very cute rocket.

I just got a coupon from my local store for 25 percent off so I'm going to go pick up a couple there. I took the old broken can off the Lancer and didnt even have any damage on the engine tube or body tube.
