Default New Estes products...

Looks like Towerhobbies has a couple of new "Just Announced" from Estes, Including the Solarflare without launch pad.

I wonder what the 'Super Alpha' looks like?

It's listed for $14.99.

How 'bout this?

Looks like some sort of variation on the Alpha 3 - ie, another E2X kit.

The Super Alpha kit shown in the link was a product Estes released in the mid-1980s as an RTF rocket with a 'needs assembly' Solar Launch Controller and 'original' Porta-Pad design.

It looks like Estes is recycling the name (Again).

Ya, I have one of those starter sets in my collection, along with a couple Super Alpha Power Kits.

Odd how one of the plastic fins on the rocket pictured in the instructions isn't warped.

Man Where im from we have a hobby lobby....no one there knows about model rockets....they get a few kits in but usually they are all damaged some way some how. Sadley we have no real hobby shop anymore....last one clossed up in 01. their hasnt been on since. I have pretty much went to 100% male order for kits, some motors, and building supplies. O well on the up side I am within walking distance to a huge field.

Does that mean you always demand that a MAN brings you the stuff? Or did you mean "MAIL" order?

LHS's here don't have hardly ANYTHING, and they're WAY higher than mail order or internet vendors, and the selection and quality is usually crap. Unless you can get something on special, I don't buy from the LHS's... I DO get some stuff at HL, but ONLY if it's in the clearance section or I have the coupon... they REALLY get to you if you buy it without the coupon!

Later! OL JR

PS... Personally I prefer THiS to 'male order'... LOL
