I'd say it will be like Schrade knives. The USA made ones are valuable.
The China Made Taylor Brands (Even though there are many collectors editions) aren't worth anything but retail. And doubt they will ever be worth anything in my life time.
Perhaps my great great grand kids will benefit from the Taylor Made Schrades, but not I.
That being said, I think the original Dr's kits will become very valuable. And even more as time passes on and they become more scarce.

You're welcome. I'd been looking for an SA-5 for a while now... If only I could have resisted putting more items in my cart.

I’ve got the SA-5 also, and my only Zooch kit. I bought it last year for $12 (1/2 price) at a rocketry swap meet!
I visited Peter Alway in Ann Arbor 20+ years ago, and held his magnificent scratch-built 1/69 Saturn SA-5 in my hands. (It’s pictured on the cover of his book, “The Art of Scale Model Rocketry”.)

It has always (partial pun) been one of my favorites ...

I have two new questions for this gang.

I have a "TON" of Estes "tiny" kits all with original retail prices less than $5.

Any ideas on how to sell them...not one at a time like maybe in some kind of groupng?

Also I cam up with something that may interest some.

I have a yellow hang tag Scout K-1/1201, a Scout II #1959, a Scout III #0878 and a SEMROC Golden Scout. (numbered kit #204)

Does that sound like a great package? Any idea what that combo would be worth?

The yellow hang tag and yellow face card kit shows on Gerry Fortin's site selling only two one at $51 and one at $40 with an average price of $46.

The scout II #1959 sold for an average price of $22

The Scout III #0878 sold for an average price of $14

The Golden Scout is still available at $7.99 or less.

So the combo set would have to sell for more

Few people would buy just one tiny (and relatively inexpensive) kit, and pay for it plus shipping. So bundles make sense. But maybe you offer discounts, like 2 tiny kits gets you 10% off, and increase the discount a few points for every additional kit purchased. Letting buyers create the bundles means they don’t get stuck with a “loser” in order to get a “winner”. (Losers and winners in the eyes of the beholder, of course.)

Exactly!

It sounds like you have the same thoughts about the small kits that I have.

Now I have to figure out how to do this.

Just a note on the kit sales.

In the process of selling these kit I seem to have accumulated a very large supply of plastic tubs, a very large supply!

These will be available for sale very very cheap, like $2.00 each (or even less) at NARAM this summer.

Gordy, just to let you know: I'm receiving an "Error 406- Not Acceptable" when trying to access your website. Don't know if other customers are being blocked too. Maybe you should check with your webmaster or server.

I just tried it from the link at the bottom of my last post and it brings me right to the site.

I hope you're not trying "excelsior rocketry.com" that doesn't work any more. Some Australian company bought the name when it lapsed on me and they want me to give them money so I changed it to sandmandecals.com

Try clicking on my site from the link at the bottom of my signature.
