Estes Saturn V Wrap
Looking for the lower 1st stage vacu-form plastic wrap for the Estes Saturn V kit 2157. The item number on the instructions is 032853 . I tried a new glue because I couldn't find the stuff I normally used when I have built this kit or worked with similar wraps and it melted the wrap.

Contact Estes. They may be able to sell you one.

Out of curiosity, what glue did you use? That way we know what to avoid! |

I saw some Weld Wood contact adhesive spray in Lowes and thought I would try it. Normally I don't use glue on the wraps when I have built one of the Saturn Kits. Over the years I have built 3 Estes , 1 Apogee and the Sirius Saturn V kits. Only fly the Sirius on special occasions. All but the very first Estes kit that I built I have used a 2 sided laminating tape made by 3m. It holds the wraps extremely well. Did not have any left and I remembered I used a spray on that first Estes kit years ago so I thought I would try something else. Big mistake. Christine at Estes is taking care of me thankfully. Lesson learned I ordered another roll of the tape . Expensive but it last me along time as it is only used on rockets with wraps.
