Unhappy So sad to hear.

Deeply saddened by the news. For myself and my family our deepest sympathy. Please all of us remember Carl at your next launch.

Default Sad Anniversaries

It is truly hard to believe we are just a handful of days away from the first anniversary of Carl's passing.

More than likely, most of us probably feel as unbelieving of this news today as we did a year ago. What a loss for us all.

I suspect there were probably a number of flights at NARAM this year that were dedicated to Carl's memory, either openly or just simply in individual flyers hearts as they silently prepped a particular rocket for flight.

Clear skies and fair winds, Carl. We miss you a bunch.

In my mind, Carl stands as one of the titans in the hobby.

There is a rumor that Semroc is being bought.

I was on vacation in Italy when I read the news off of my tablet. My family were worried when I cried out and started cursing.

Carl and the Semroc family were solely responsible for me getting back involved in rocketry.
Their kits, parts, and responsiveness to customer requests were second to none.
Although I never met Carl, his passing was truly one of the saddest days of my life.
He, Sheryl, Bruce and the rest of the Semroc team gave SO much to the hobby.
Truly a class act that most businesses should learn something from.
God speed, Carl.

I don't know if it is true but the folks at TRF claim Semroc has been sold.

Default Very sad news regarding Semroc and Carl McLawhorn

Thank you for remembering Carl. This last year has been a difficult one.

There have been a few interested in buying Semroc but no papers have been signed.

Sheryl-

Know too that as we remember Carl we also remember you, Bruce and the rest of the family as we approach this anniversary. Prayers continue for you all, as we all understand that losses like this are felt deep and long. You all are special to us. Thank you for your continued operation of Semroc this past year in the face some very trying additional challenges through other illnesses in the family. As you commented, it HAS been a very difficult year. We hope that Bruce continues to recover and establish a new path for his life.

God's blessings and peace to you.

Earl

Several times while I was on the Sport Range during NARAM-56 I heard flights announced as being in memory of Carl.

I flew two Semroc models for Carl.

The first was my newly built Egg Ctate on an Estes C11-3 motor. It was a nice flight followed by a soft landing in the grass.

My second model was the SLS Hustler powered by an AeroTech F23-7FJ motor. Another nice flight and recovery.

Thanks Carl.
