AAA & Ace stuff
I found that Al Swackhammer sent me scans of AAA and Ace fin templates back in 2006. Believe it or not, as I type I have my trusty old FrontPage program open and have started updating the site locally. It'll be a bit before I upload to the website, but hey, it's a start! Only been 3yrs since I last opened the program.
Anyhow, I figured I'd get these out to you guys here and now so you can use them if needed. The file names for each pic will tell you what they're for. These are the AAA sets. Next post will have a couple of Ace.

Few notes on these. first off, I do not have the actual instructions or detailed plans on some of these, just my 'in case we need to replace one' fin tracings, along with notes I made re: tube lengths, etc. since these are real strighforward, easily cloned. on the Transonic 775 - this used the BT20HD ( thick wall ) , two 12" sections, with coupler ( glued, not a seperation point), and the vintage nes I had ALL came with Centuri PNC76 cones ( 2 pc cones ) . Note on the Lasersonics 1.2 - the cardboard tube/ plywod fin version had larger fins, and used a 24" tube. the all fiberglass one used a shorter 21" G12 tube ( so he could cut two from the 42" lengths he stocked ) and smaller G10 fins, not sure why he did that ... ( pics of my 1.2+ glass version below ) . note both used FSI hardwood cone form the OSO kit, but hollowed out to add weight. other comments / notes to follow, ask if you need info. ~ AL |
