Rubber Shock Cord
I found sport rubber (used in airplanes in length, they have both 1/8" and 1/4"
Go to the Sig Manufacturing web page, and under search put in sport rubber. You could replace or install new shock cords in larger lengths. Check it out. |

I've been using 3/16" and 1/4" Sig sport rubber for years.
nice black colored rubber with a coating to make it slippery - little to no deterioration, not brittle after 10+ years, unlike the white Estes kit stuff. I used this right up until a year or so back, when increased internet exposure / forums , promted me to go to Kevlar leads and elastic tied on ( although could tie this rubber to the kevlar leads ). I still have a partial can of the 3/16" that I use from time to time for repairs ( some repairs are tough to get kevlar down inside to retrofit, so when shock cords on my vintage birds are giving up the fight, I generally use tri-fold mounts and Sig rubber or elastic, long of course. ~ AL |

Yes, that is the link, there has been several builders who have been looking for long lengths of rubber shock cord. Thanks for posting the link, will be much easier to find it. |
