Default "The Vixen's" Halloween Project for 2016

Sometimes I think she may actually be even more disturbed than I am, but while I was gone last week "The Vixen" took an assembled Astron Spaceman that I'd primered months ago and "mummified" it.

Using Mod Podge, guaze, raffia, cotton, and bits of plas-truct for the teeth she created "Mum-Rock".

It's MY job to accessorize it. I'll probably give him a fez, some scarabs, and some hieroglyphics(sp?) around the base.

Stay tuned. TBC

Default The Fez

To construct the fez, I cut a section out of an old Black Brant II PNC-50 that had a damaged tip. I then epoxied the center slug from a centering ring to the top and cut away the overlap with my curved tracheotomy scissors. "The Vixen" hand painted it with dark red enamel and I shot it with dullcote lacquer. The tassel is simply made from black sewing thread and secured with a black ball-top pin.

Now he just needs a little tiny car and a hip flask and he can ride around in parades!

Default ...The Fez

Ha ha!

I love it!

Listen to "The Fez" by Steely Dan.

If anyone else knows how the band derived their name; I'm impressed!

Funny you should mention that.

I was listening to "The Royal Scam" album when the fez idea hit me. Soon after, "The Fez" track of the album played!

AFIK, Steely Dan took the name from a steam-powered dil** from the movie "Naked Lunch". I've never seen the movie.

Default Ding!

You win the prize!

It's the title of the book by William S. Burroughs...

Great music!

As Wayne and Garth would say,

"I.m not worthy"

"You are the master, I am the learner"
