Default Motor History Site Updated

Since we were snow/ice-bound here in Atlanta, I spent some time updating my website - http://www.jdwindsor.info

Still have a bunch of stuff to post.

Still looking for more photos and info.

Great work! Lots of fun to finally see what some of these looked like.

I haven't seen a MRI engine since the early 1970s.
That was the first engine I ever received and launched.
They were sent (probably illegally) into California from a major mail order company.

I've got an unused blue Estes engine that came in my Firing Line "VAMPIRE" set. Would you like any photos of it?

I uploaded a couple of dozen photos to a private website for your personal use and PM'd and emailed you. Did you get the messages/photos?

If not I will need to reupload it as I deleted them as promised, and either way there are a bunch more as well.

Jerry

Sorry Jerry, I never saw the message. If you could reupload them I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Dale, looking good so far.

Hopefully you can get captions and info up with the pics sometime, I will have to send info for the pics I've submitted ( some posted ) .

Noted one error - the ACS Reaction Labs H160-9 I sent, you have labeld as H160-0, it's labeled in red pen on endcap, circa 1986-87 when I was a dealer.
Also uncertain of the differing listings for ACS-Reaction Labs, vs Reaction Labs... same company, by Mark Weber and Don .
Don later had his Solid Motor Company motors TRA certified, after he and Weber parted ways.

Note on the US Rockets D6-4? .. that was part of a large order purchased at Lucerne dry lake, at Octoberfet 90, will have to scan the pics I have of the US Rockets motor display / hoard. was told that those were leftovere form a special effects shoot, and they are spiral would paper phenolic, ala PML tubing . green case, blue epoxy, and were plugged - as I recall, Jerry asked what delay I wanted, drilled the touch hole and depth by eye with a handheld cordless drill, and added the ejection charge and stamped the endcap on site. Ones I flew all worked fine - that motor in pics now sold, not sure who got that one, maybe you did ?

looking at the Vulcan pics now, good memories, I belive that G44 with black marker line on label was from my collection, iirc, you used to have pics of an H76 that was ex-randy Lieberman, ex Scott Trelease, from my own collection... don't see that one on there now.

I also have a big box of, some rare, som not, fired single use composite motors, including 98mm Aerotech K, pro-jets, Crown, Plasmajets ( including a J300 ), Prodyne K and other goodies , would you want pics of the fired motors ?

Let me know, love the motor history pages, and glad the site is both up and being worked on again ... Jason and myself are working on a history of hpr kits site now, gathering info and looking for a host / maintainer, ( volunteers with web savyness ? ) .

Keep em coming - look forward to what Jerry sends you on the 'private site' , as I am sure he has a slew of early history and motors .
