This is the first time I have ever seen a Nike nude; it is usually wearing a kilt. Nice nozzles!

It's a trainer version of a Nike Herc. Not a flight version. You can tell by the interstage adapter. Was used to train personnel on the assembly and hookup of a Nike Herc.

Man, I would LOVE to have that thing! Don't think my backyard neighbors would appreciate it as much as I do. Might be a zoning restriction somewhere, too.
However, I do have some land in the Congaree Swamp...

Hmmmmm...

What's the price???

It would be priceless to see the expression on Ed's face if you were to show up at the sod field with that in tow, Allen!

That would be funny!

I wonder how long it would take for someone NSA or FAA related to knock on my door; my land is on the southern approach to Columbia Metropolitan Airport and our little city airport aircraft are all over the sky as well. Be kinda neat to smoke up those 4 'motors' as a large plane flew over. They would be WAY close enough to see it, especially with smoke pouring out. I can't think of many things more magnificent than a Nike-Herc on a launcher at about a 60 degree angle.
Wow!
At least I have an (over)active imagination!

Seriously, How Much?
Oh, wait! I see the linky! Need to call them...I'll let ya'll know!

Thanks for the clarification. That explains why the Nike motors were not salvaged for sounding rocket work.

As would I.

I never had a chance to talk to them. I first discovered they had it maybe seven or eight years ago when I took that exit off the freeway looking for a pit stop. Every time since that I passed by there and remembered, it was Sunday and they were closed.

Their web site says it is a "museum," but it is actually a paved compound surrounded by a chain-link fence with a bunch of equipment just crammed in there. I did not see any informational signs and there does not appear to be much room to walk between the various pieces.

If someone should come along and offer them enough for it...well...everything has its price.
