Default Squirrel Works - Two Cool For Spool

The Squirrel Works Model Rocketry is pleased to announce the release of our latest kit, Two Cool For Spool. Two Cool For Spool launches like a regular spool rocket but half way through the flight the second stage ignites and the lower disk drops away while the upper disk flies on. The high drag design makes this the ideal rocket for two stage flights on a small field. Tumble recovery on both stages means a short recovery walk. A fun rocket to fly with lots of smoke and noise on the way up!

I built the Two Cool for Spool and flew it at Chili Blaster this Saturday. It was a crowd pleaser. Thanks for producing the kit Don.

Looks like you are gonna have another hit!

(and that's a smart design, to be tailored specifically for small fields and modern "city" launches)

Thanks guys, I'm happy to hear it went over well with the crowd. The first time I took one to a launch, I knew I was on to something. Usually, the high power guys pay no attention to my test flights but several of them came up to look at the spool.

We're just finishing up the third run of the kit, it's more popular than I thought it would be.
