Given the simplicity of new CNC machining, it seems like it would be profitable for someone to make new tooling and capitalize on the "bugs" in all of the old SS kits.

Default How about this?

Not sure which category it fits into, but how a re-release of the Centuri SST Shuttle?
I still have my original one, but I'm too chicken to fly it!
I second the Maxi-Brute Pershing 1A. It's the only one I never got. I had an original V-2 that I flew the paint off of in the late '70s.

While this has nothing to do with scale models, Semroc has a kit available if you want one.

I suppose the Centuri SST Shuttle (which Semroc has re-introduced after a hiatus--see the link that John posted in his reply directly above mine) could be called a "concept scale" model. In the 1950s and 1960s (indeed, even up to today), there have been proposed designs for large air-breathing supersonic aircraft that would launch small spaceplanes that would be boosted into orbit by one or more expendable rocket stages. One such early design from the late 1950s called for using a North American XB-70 Valkyrie to carry under its belly a Boeing X-20 "Dyna-Soar" spaceplane mounted to two or three series-staged rocket stages that would have boosted it into orbit.
