Default USS Hyperion

Finished building my OOP PDR clone of an OOP Estes 1383 USS Hyperion.

The fin cutting guide had issues and I had to work the slots some to get the rings to properly seat.

Very Nice !
I built an original about 7 years ago; it has yet to fly.
I finished mine in a very light grey color.
Is yours light grey or white ?

I built mine the same time I built a vintage Estes SS Cassiopeia.
Have flown the Cassiopeia several times, discovered why I have not flown the Hyperion...never installed the shock cord/chute.

I really like tail rings, so that one appeals to me and it is not often cloned nowadays. Hand-cutting fins to fit the rings like that is Not Easy.

Very very well done!
