Centuri/Semroc/Estes Recruiter What color?
I have a second Semroc Recruiter kit, I am building and I wanted to go with a Centuri paint design. Looking at the 1969 Centuri Catalog photo (attached), I decided I would go with this one. But I am not sure what color Yellow/gold that is. Does anyone have an idea? Unreleated is the Defender also the same kit?

Defender is a different kit, but looks similar.
Larger with a 3 motor cluster. One oif my very first rockets back in '68ish.

Defender is a much bigger 3-engine cluster kit.
I painted mine silver with fluorescent blue/orange alternating fins, with a fluorescent green tip on the nose cone. That gold you speak of in the catalog pic is actually ORANGE.

on the inside back cover of the same catalog it looks like it is black/white/silver with blue/white/red fins? At least I think that's it...

And another group shot is on the inside back cover of the 1971 Centuri catalog.
Link: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...d/71dcen96.html In that image, the Recruiter is on the right; look at the Saturn 1b and the Recruiter?s nosecone points right up at the base of the Saturn 1b. In this photo, this Recruiter appears to be simply black and white. Earl

I have a defender in the pile as well. The Blue/Orange (Red) is what is on the Semroc facecard for this, and I had built the first one that way, so this one I was certainly looking to go different with the Centuri design. Orange may be the way to go then.
