I don't know if I ever did a thread on this additional step, but on my latest HoJo with built up fins I added an extra detail:

I sanded the leading and trailing edges flat and then used styrene cement to apply .100" half-round styrene strips to the edges.

And voy lay! The finished fin (one of four.)

While far from perfect, I am very happy with my first attempt at this technique. This now becomes the second best building tip I have learned from Jeffy.
