Do we really need to posture as to how many we ordered? One point. If you know how many are in a case you win.

Do you really need to make comments about your knowledge and self importance of the hobby in almost every thread?

4! Looks like I need to steer clear of AC Supply ... I wonder who else is ordering multiples from them?

I ordered one just now from jonrocket.com (free shipping at $40 purchase). Not as inexpensive as AC Supply (but free shipping with them requires $100 purchase).

When the credit card cools off a bit after a really crazy 2015, I'll consider stocking up on them. But at least I'll have a LJ II in before to long, that I can build, and set on the shelf by my just recently completed (except for paint) Estes Saturn 1B. If all goes well, weather-wise, I'll be spray painting like crazy in another month, or maybe two ...

Four seems like a lot, but at their price of $29.99, it's no worse than buying a mid-power rocket or two. I'll keep a couple and send one or two to my son (Intruder on YORF). The LJII contractors were General Dynamics/Convair and North American/Rockwell. My son is now in Texas working for Lockheed at the facilities that built the General Dynamics F-16 and Convair B-58 Hustler. I figure he needs a Little Joe II!

Did you order from AC Supply for $29.99/ea or did you find an even better deal?

Well, now that you've clarified, are you sure you bought yourself enough, especially if you send him two? I thought the minimum for oneself was 3 -- one to fly, one for display, and an extra to save for "the future". Of course, if the third is to save for "posterity", then you're covered since your son is now covered. BTW, the mention of the B-58 Hustler brings back great memories. When I was 7 my mother bought me a B-58 plastic model. It probably had gluey fingerprints all over it, and I don't think it got painted at all, but I logged more hours flying that jet around the house and yard than any plastic model I ever built.

If you like the B-58 Hustler, you'll love this:

Warning: you'll be gone for hours.

And to keep this message on-topic, I agree that three is the appropriate number of kits to buy. So do the producers of this SNL Star Wars commercial, who note that you'll need one to display, one to open, and one "just in case."

Curse you James.

I'll be up all night wanting to watch the videos, but resisting so far. I'm supposed to be up early to drive to Denver.
