This is my attempt at replicating the 'wooden' Lectra-Line controller. I can't give dimensions right now, it is packed away (we're moving). There is an original one in a post here..search "Nifty little Find" by SEL.

Here's a link to my blog post I did on the Centuri controller.
http://modelrocketbuilding.blogspot...turi+Letra+Line

The Centuri catalog page from 1971 shows the Lectra Line 1 in Yellow,
The Lectra Line 2 was in black.

My Lectra Line 2 was all black, including the launch button and key.
Maybe at one time Centuri pulled the yellow launch button and safety key from the 1 series
and packed that with the black 2 series controllers. (And vice-versa)
That would seem to be an easy way to make the controllers more colorful.

That "Knight-Mfg" link might be cool if their LIA-77 and LIA-100 "launch pad kits" were ACTUAL kits for launch pads, but they are NOT...they are just metal hardware packages that are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced with one still having to source/cut/finish wood from templates.
Onc could piece together those metal components from a good hardware store or industrial supply for 25% of what they are charging.
What they call "kits" are a BAD JOKE.
They also list a 5-station sawhorse-style pad for an idiotic $339.00 when it has about $50 worth of materials.
PULLLLLLEEEEEEEZZZZE.

I'm all for a REASONABLE profit by purveyors of goods, but refuse to be ripped off.

Gh - I thought you had to be joking on that , but nope you were not.
Geeze that is crazy.
I have often thought about making clones of the Centuri launch pads, as I do have a sheetmetal brake & sheer and a pretty decent wood working shop.

Yep, no joke, just a small handful of metal pieces along with templates those CLOWNS are calling "Launch Pad Kits" with a price that matches what ALL the pieces for a reproduction pad should cost.
Unless it has ALL the pieces to assemble into a WORKING LIA-77/LIA-100 "Launch Pad", they at best should call them "hardware ONLY kits" and only a FOOL would pay those prices ESPECIALLY with an incorrect blast deflector.

I'd pay for a reproduction blast delector and other hard-to-get parts for a faithful LIA-100 reproduction. Plus patterns . . . I can handle the wood cutting now!

Bump. Dimensions for the LIA-100 blast deflector would be greatly appreciated.

Funny you should mention this...Jeff (Faithwalker) and I have been working all weekend on this. He measured his and sent me the dimensions. Trying to duplicate the dimensions with SolidWorks sheet metal has been a little challenging but we have 99% worked out. I will add finishing touches to the drawing and post it along with Jeff's pictures (with his permission!) and some extra details he has provided when I get home from work.

OK! As mentioned earlier, Jeff (Faithwalker) measured his genuine ID-100 blast deflector and I have been working to get the dimensions come out right in SolidWorks...

Here is the resulting dimensional drawing and a full scale flat pattern. Note I titled this with "actual" in contrast to my earlier "estimated" deflector.

Jeff supplied dimensions for the wooden clip support block, clip attachment terminals, and overall dimensions of the clip wires. The pdf file includes the support block dimensions...I just posted pics of the other goodies.
