Looks like it's time to start stopping by various Hobby Lobbies in hope of finding some of these kits on clearance!

The Designer's Special? Granted, lately the thing has been mostly a dumping ground for nose cones that Estes wants to get rid of, but still...

Why does this thread remind me of Airplane ?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines.

Looks like Estes will no longer have any sort of camera rocket.

They dropped the Astrocam kit and the Snapshot starter set. (goodbye film)
Now, they're dropping the Oracle and Astrovision launch set. (goodbye digital)

Alan

The only thing on this list that I will even remotely miss is the Oracle.
The others, I could not care less about other than maybe the D11-P but only if they would re-issue it in the original D11-9 format.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

Yeah, it did me, too, even before I posted my own "looks like" comment.

Agreed; I LOVED using that on my Estes Goblin (way back when). Could use it on my Squirrel's Work Gremlin, too.
