Default But I thought...

But I thought the X-wing fighters used ION powered drives like the TIE fighters.

I got reinterested in this after this thread, so I ordered the parts from Semroc. Not much in the way of a plan to this one, more like a couple of construction "suggestions".

Pretty much the sum total of the parts involved. I filled and sanded the tubes before attaching them. Fins, excuse me, WINGS are 3/32" basswood. I'm going to wait until it's all together to decide if I like the length of the main tube, because at this point I think it looks way too long.

Engine tubes are together.

Engine tubes attached. I'm hoping to find the time to finish the bulk of construction this weekend, so hopefully I'll have more to add to this tomorrow.

I never did however, some of the guys I flew with on the E-coast (Foosefest) may have. I ended up giving the rocket to a friend new to the hobby. The thing flies straight as an arrow. I think I had to scale it up a bit to fit the BT60 (part of the Patriot kit). Papered the fins and spent about 2 hrs. airbrushing the scheme. The R2 unit is a wooden screw hole button!

Hi Jerry! I think Craig may have pictures. I checked my pictures from Foosefest and could not find any flight pictures. You may have flown it at FooseFest II, the one I missed.

Nice work! I like the weathered look. I have read some great reviews on the Iwata Eclipse. Do you have the siphon or gravity fed model?
