Now the wings are mounted onto the SRB tubes and the nozzles. While the Titebond sets, I brace the model laterally with a frame made of straight, hard balsa strips and clothespins. It's a butt-ugly rig, but it works every time. TBC

Drafting table gets pretty full with a rocket that size.

Yes, it's rather cluttered, but if I put stuff away then I can't find it. It's a dilemma.

Default Primered!

Now the DST has been given 4 coats of Aerogloss sanding sealer on it's balsa pieces and 2 coats of white primer.

I think I should bevel the front of the launch lug. TBC

The DST is now in gloss white and the decals are on and Solvasetted. The Vixen painted the insides of the nozzles by hand.
Ready for floor polish. Almost done! TBC

Another great looking build. It would be interesting (to me) to see that one fly. Nice straight decal placement.

Default .........................and Voila!

The DST is complete and clearcoated. It was a lot of fun and a good challenge!
I thank everyone that followed and participated in the build thread.
Now I get to mow the lawn for the first time this year.

p.s. I also thank Sandman for selling me such a pristine kit!

Thumbs up Nice Build!

Dang!

That's one sweet looking rocket! Now I'm thinking about making one, as I have a spare Honest John nosecone laying around.

So many rockets... So little time.
