Since I am banned from the sites changing their TOS after sale, I do not have the ability or desire to consent to them owning my content. According to copyright law, which supersedes a TOS notice, I own everything I have ever uttered, or typed, or created and posted.

I was a member of about half of those listed but hold that thought Jerry, from all the complaints about the new owners and posting policy there, it looks like TRF may be morphing into rec.models.rockets.

I just hope Kurt comes back. I miss all the chicken jokes.

Does anybody even know who the new owners are? Contact info? I would like to be unbanned by someone who does not hold a grudge (baselessly to begin with) for decades.

It's a shame really.

I don't post much at TRF (only 62 total posts and I have my reasons for that lack of enthusiasm) but I did revisit a thread that I was very interested in of a 29mm min. diameter rocket with an absolutely flawless finish with all the pictures ruined with Charmin toilet paper ads posted on all the pictures.

Granted if you log in the ads disappear but anyone just casually browsing TRF will see them.

Kevin sold TRF? News to me. I've always financed my rocketry sites out of my own pocket. I HATE all those ads that are on so many forums now. Besides being annoying, they slow down the whole site. The only ads I've had here are the few banner ads I've had at the top for years. The businesses that have placed those banners have made out like bandits, IMHO. I "charged" them $100 worth of their products years ago, and that was it. Some have had the benefit of advertising here for almost 8 years for $100 retail of their products. Quite the deal.

Of course I haven't updated the forum software in 8 years either. ;-)
