I just think GH was never in the military and didn't understand the term "Ma Duece" (M-2). I mean really do you think he could spend a week in boot w/o being sent up on an art 15??

the 50 BMG round has 3 times the shocking power of the 300 W Mag. but the 300 with a 180 gr. projectile moves at 3250 Ft. per second and produces 4000 + Ft. Lbs. of energy. And you wont have anything but FRAG to identify the can by. but I would still rather fire the 50 as it don't kick as bad as the 300 Mag does in a 9 lb. Mark V. The Master Blaster Says: Go Dope your Scope.

I definitely know what a Ma-Deuce is and have actually FIRED one ! Regarding using a 50BMG round on a wimpy aerosol can- now that's a waste ! A 300 Wby is a huge overkill as well. a single 5.56 round from my AR-15 would be more than plenty.
I have a CZ550 Safari Magnum in .458 Lott (about 7000 ft/lb energy at the muzzle) that makes a .458 Win Mag (which it also can fire) or a 375 H&H seem like a pip-squeak. I would not waste a round out of it on a can either.

There is no such thing as "a waste" when it comes to firing an M2. Any and every chance....any and every target. It's awesome!

Since when have you ever, and I do mean ever, advocated anything less than the biggest and baddest for anything? Especially one of your juvenile prank type deals. I ask you sir.... Who are you and what have you done with our beloved GH?????

I'll stick with the M2. I promise to give the can a fighting chance. I'll put it behind an inch thick plate of steel a few hundred yards away........and still smoke it!

I missed out on my chance to fire the Ma Deuce. But in this case, pop, pop, pop from my little 10/22 is all that is needed. My AR-15 and assorted .30 cals have been wall hangers since ammo prices went through the roof.

How about a truck engine block, 4 concrete block walls and the steel plate and the can would still be FRAG. 720 gr. 2950 ft. per Sec. 14, 300 ft.lbs. of energy. I have fired both the bolt and the semi auto Barrett, So when I move up to Tennessee, Nob Creek in on my bucket list.
