Talking Centuri Fireflash variation

I don't know for sure, but it seems to be a simple variation on the Centuri version.

"Yeah, *that's* the ticket!"

Here's a link to a YouTube video of the original Fireflash. Details are tough to see, but you can get the general idea if you watch it a couple of times:

...and here's the Wikipedia article about it:

Looking forward to your build Mike. This was one rocket I never got back in the day, I was was a little intimidated at the time by the skill level 5. But now, I can do it. This was one rocket I wish Semroc would have cloned.

Well...they still could. :-) The original Semroc offered the parts for a few of the Centuri Mini Line kits. In fact, the *entire* small but diverse Centuri Mini Line (see: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/no...a/73cen00c.html ) wouldn't be hard for the new Semroc to produce, as it consisted of just six kits. They included two optional rear-ejection or nose-ejection models (the Star Trooper and the Nova), a boost-glider (the Mini-Dactyl), a scale kit (the Fireflash), a "gyro" recovery and futuristic model (the Satellite 62SL), and a cardstock/square body/custom buildable pair of rockets (the Two-Bitz). I'd happily buy all of them if (hint, hint) the new Semroc offered them, either as full kits or as parts sets with links to the online instructions ("semi-kits," as they're called in the model aviation world). Also:

While I'd be perfectly happy with balsa nose cones in Semroc reproductions of these kits (the Nova and the Mini-Dactyl, as well as one of the two Two Bitz rockets, had balsa nose cones in the original Centuri kits [the balsa Two Bitz nose was a builder-carved balsa block]), the rapidly-developing technology of 3D printing (which is already being used in model rocketry) could make replicas of the other Mini Line kits' plastic nose cones easy and cheap to produce before long.
