I made a mold for casting a hollow PNC-50X something like 20 years ago or so. It wasn't a very good mold, and the result was less hollow than I liked. I used that cone to build a Photon Distruptor clone. Right now I am gathering the pieces/parts for building a rotocaster for another project. It would be not too much extra work to find that old cone and make a better mold for it. Only thing is that you will have to wait until sometime in June (at the earliest) for a repro PNC-50X.

I can wait, or if I can't I can get a balsa cone for temporary use until you fabricate something.

I think I've been made

All of a sudden on the auction two additional pictures appear showing the nose cone, like tempting me to bid more. weird.

Nope, and it went for the bid that beat me, $13.59. Another Scamp came up almost immediately after the one above and the last I saw, was north of $20 with 3 active bidders.

I'm waiting for word from Wolf, but in the meantime, I have a balsa nose cone from Erockets-Semroc that I am planning on using.

A little bit of patience and a bit of luck, and finally, finally a PNC-50X is on it's way!

I found one on a Photon Disruptor #1282 from EBay for a mere $14.99 buy it now.

So, anyone want a nose cone less 1282 Photon Disruptor?
