Mercurochrome
Hi Jason,
To be honest I have not seen this product since I was a kid, I have Iodine in my med cabinet. Next time I visit a local drug store, I will see if it is available, but getting it to you sounds like a more difficult issue, since it is banned. Wouldn't want to potentially set you up for a misdemeanor offense with your federal Government, nor would I want to jeopardize my free ability to enter and leave the United States during vacations. Regarding the new Quest motors, I will just have to be patient and wait to see if Gary has them authorized by NRCan Explosives for import and sale in Canada. That may take some time, as I am sure that Aerotech needs to ramp up production of the QJets just to meet growing domestic demand. I have some of Aerotech D10's and 18mm reloads to fill the void , but it's always the "I want it, because cannot have it" syndrome that drives the desire for the uniqueness of the QJets. Mercurochrome and Merthiolate were both banned due to the Mercury content.
Another instance of "all heavy metals bad-must be banned" dog crap. Another instance of ridiculous FDA/EPA govt over-regulation. I'd rather ban the EPA.

Ah...HBO. I wondered why I never heard of it. Premium channels were...at a premium back in those days. Still are for that matter.

LOL That brings back memories. I was raised in the South, in a rural area, and in a poor to middle class area at best. With that background in mind, I'm surprised we pronounced Mercurochrome pretty much the right way. We didn't pronounce the first "r", so it started with more of a "muh" sound, but otherwise was about right. However, we butchered the Merthiolate pronunciation. It was something like muh-thigh-uh-lade. You know, the cool refreshing summer drink sold by kids at the street corner muh-thigh-uh-lade stand.

Zep's rolling, lately.
Does anyone remember the old Phisoderm? In the big green bottles? We seemed to always have that around.

I remember commercials for it, but we never used any. We did make/use homemade lye soap.
