My guess is that John is building a larger more detailed GT for a specific purpose. That doesn't mean some form of the old K-21 won't ever show back up. In the mean time, scratch build one. Back in the more recent golden era of SEMROC, there was about a two year stretch where darn near every scratch build my son and I did of an OOP kit, Carl released a kit for it! Take one for the team and maybe the new Estes will do the same!

You seem to have a really good track record. I think we all would kindly request that you start a scratch-build of the Gemini-Titan. Your efforts will be appreciated by all of us. Thanks in advance!

For what it’s worth, this is my only picture of the Gemini Titan at the Rocket Garden at Kennedy Space Center. Hope it helps.

I'm taking the easy way out. I will be purchasing a wrap from John Pursley when one comes available .
I test flew the model today on two E12-4 motors. It took off just fine but ounce the thrust stopped it started to wobble. It wasn't a pretty launch but it was plenty high for the chute to come out. One of the plastic fins broke and the motor tube sticking out the rear kinked a bit. I'll build another fin unit and reinforce the motor tubes. I really think this model needs a couple of E30 motors to get the speed up on launch. It's a real slow flying rocket with E12 motors. John Boren |

John, Those E12's are only about 27 Nt-Sec each. ( of course, you already knew that - LOL ! ) I know you mentioned Aerotech E30's, but I'm thinking a pair of Aerotech E15's, before going to the "big guns". Dave F. |

E30s are easier to ignite than E15s/E20s
