Yeah, I ordered two myself. This is a really cool idea. The nice thing is that I'll forget that I ordered anything by the time they arrive, so it will be like a surprise. The bad thing is that I couldn't think of anything else to order with them.

There's an Alzheimer's joke in there somewhere

Uni-rings - you can't have too many of these - along with Bill's heavy duty T70 and T80 tubes. Mid-power upscales of all your favorite classic MRs. Remember, you're not a true NAR weenie until you have seven different scales of your favorite classics

I built a Viking I last year using Semroc parts and a balsa nose cone. I used ST-8F for the airframe and tube fins, and installed an 18mm mount. It appears to be stable with A-C motors. The long airframe length (16") helps with the stability. I haven't flown it yet to verify that, though. A 24mm upscale very well might need a tiny bit of nose weight (or a hardwood nose cone). The design is so sleek that I would be reluctant to fly my 18mm version on anything larger than a B6. I would think that if you upscaled it slightly to accomodate 24mm motors, and you put in anything larger than a C-11, then the first flight could very well be the last.

Building clones of the Viking I and several other FSI models was discussed in a thread last Spring:
