I would say the big bertha has quite a history and is a hands down winner with many thousands of rocketeers past and present.

the big betty is a 3 fin and a great kit for the money.

they are all winners

Bill,

I admire your finishing skills - I could not reproduce the alternating white and red on the fins of the 1969 Bertha without screwing up.

My Big Betty looks quite similar to yours - a little yellower perhaps

The masking was pretty easy.
1. Paint white.
2. Use GOOD masking tape and tape off the whole side of the tapered fins that need to stay white. Make sure you get a good seal and let the edges hang.
3. Paint red.

I've had the Betty for years, but I got the idea for this comparison and only needed to buy the Vega. It would probably look better in yellow. The decals would stand out more.

These are todays pics. The light was better.

All three came out very nice. Vega is still my favorite!

That's the treehouse. My daughter and her cross country friends did that. Chalk has been banned from the treehouse ever since.

A treehouse AND an in-ground pool? I want to live at Bill's house!
