1. Kudos for the two Interceptor releases last year. (I personally bought 5 of each). Can you elaborate on any plans to bring back some of the terrific sci-fi and fantasy kits, including Centuri models? 2. There is a lot of scale model interest on the forums. Any plans to reintroduce some of the classics, such as the 1/100 Saturn 1B, or maybe the Pershing? Yes to all Number #4 post near the bottom of the post. This was what I was going on . Yes to all I took meant that the Saturn 1B would be ererleased. |

My worry is if ESTES get bougth out that the new owners might not go throuth with all the new kits ESTES wanted to come out with and cancel kits like the Saturn V and 1B. Just go with the quick money maker like the Wal-Mart kits.
I DO need a new Saturn 1B or two. |

I suppose it depends on who the buyers are in the end. We'll just have to wait and see.

I took a little break on my build. I noticed the S-IC tube (BT-101) has a raised spiral running full length of the tube. I debated on whether to just leave it, try to fill the entire tube, or replace. Semroc sells the tube, so I ordered one. The surface is much nicer!
In the meantime, I saw this link to a ton of manned spaceflight documents on either the Scaleroc or Spacemodeler's group: http://www.geocities.com/bobandrepont/spacepdf.htm This is an amazing reference source. On that site, I found this pdf document called Description of the S-IC stage structure which has neat diagrams of the fin/engine fairings and the heat shield at the base of the S-IC. There's more, go check it out! |

DOH! I just realized the above post should have gone over in the Saturn V thread. Oh well, that link contains a bunch of Saturn 1 and 1B info too.
Back on the subject of the .7" tubes...I sent an email to Jim at the address on the webpage listed above last week and have heard nothing. Does anybody know if that address is any good? I have searched the forums, and everybody points to this same page http://www.wooshrocketry.org/misc/tt.htm I have checked the vendors who advertise carrying TT tubes, but this size isn't listed there. |

HO scale is "half O"... it's 1/87th which is SUPPOSED to be half "O" scale. I used to do the 4H train building stuff for the county fair when my nephews were younger... So I kinda got into trains for awhile but didn't have an extra house to develop a layout, and the N and Z scale micro trains just don't 'do it' for me so I boxed it all up and put it in the back of the closet. I'd LOVE to mess with "G" scale but I'd have to win the lottery first... LOL Anyway, the nephews graduated to the 4H rocket program and got me started again, and now I'm totally hooked... OL JR
