Vintage Estes quality control

I've wanted an Estes Python since I got back into the hobby in 2001. http://www.rocketreviews.com/python...-1997-2000.html After many Ebay failures I finally won one last week. I was pumped. It arrived yesterday, so I unboxed it tonight at work. All bagged up inside and everything is in great shape.
But, wait! Where's the motor tube?
Nope. No motor tube. This poor kit has been sitting around without a means of propulsion for 15-18 years. Good thing I have a pile of scrap BT-50 laying around. ;)

Well then you can have it take E9/E12s as well as D12s if you have to supply your own motor mount.....

Found 3 new old stock online at Midwest hobby shop a few years back.
Thanks :)

:o I don't remember, but I think around $25. It's still sitting in the box that it came in. I barely got started and got distracted. They turn up every now and then, but not very often.
